As a courtesy to owners of discontinued Simaudio products, we're providing information about these particular models.
The Celeste series of products was the first offered in 1993 and discontinued
in 2000; At the present time, Simaudio Ltd. only manufactures products under the MOON series.
We have archived the Celeste series into three product categories:

The Celeste series featured three different models of Integrated Amplifiers: The PW-4070i
which produced 60 watts/channel (8Ω) and offered an optional internal MM/MC phono section; The PW-4000 which produced 50 watts/channel (8Ω)
and also offered an optional internal MM/MC phono section; and the more advanced PW-5000 which incorporated an innovative design featuring a dual-mono circuit,
produced 60 watts/channel (8 Ω) and laid the foundation for the legendary MOON i-5.
Four different Preamplifier models existed during the lifecycle of the Celeste series; Introduced in 1993,
the P-4001 was a single chassis model that featured an optional internal MM/MC phono section. Several years later, the two-chassis
P-4002 was introduced, featuring balanced differential circuitry and an outboard power supply. It also included an optional MM/MC
phono section, housed in a separate (3rd) chassis. The P-5002 was the most advanced Celeste
series preamplifier. With full-function remote control capability, it also featuring balanced differential circuitry and an outboard power supply. Finally, there was the single
chassis P-5003 which offered many features for the optimum combination of price, performance and convenience. Features included 8 line
inputs, a tape loop, single and balanced outputs, full-function remote control and a headphone jack.
Six Power Amplifiers found their way into the Celeste series; three each for two-channel audio and
home-theater applications. The W-4070, the W-4150 and the W-4250
produced 70 watts, 150 watts and 250 watts (per channel into 8Ω), respectively and all three featured a "zero overall feedback" circuit design. Each model was upgraded to an "se" version
in 1996 with the inclusion of a balanced differential input stage. The HT-2, the HT-3 and the
HT-5 amplifiers were intended for use in a multi-channel environment.
