MOON LIMITED EDITION SERIES
Eclipse LE CD Player
Updated: August 2, 2005

Simaudio Ltd. brings you the MOON Limited Edition series, representing a genuine leap forward in both sonic excellence and physical appearance. The MOON Eclipse LE CD Player is based on the well established 16-bit/44.1kHz red-book standard by using four 24-bit DACs with an 8X oversampling digital filter in a fully balanced differential circuit. The result is an internal upsampling rate that features 24-bit/352.8kHz processing.

Originally introduced in 1999, the MOON Eclipse has garnered many colossal reviews and numerous awards from the global audio press including a long-standing place in the prestigious "class A" category of Stereophile Magazine's "Recommended Components" listing. During's it's illustrious life-cycle, the MOON Eclipse has undergone various minor changes on occasion, either as a result of the availability of new and improved parts and/or subtle design changes, culminating in the Limited Edition version.

Unique to the LE version of the MOON Eclipse is an enhanced analog section that utilizes exotic component parts matched to an unprecedented 0.02% tolerance. Also, the noise floor has been brought down to thresholds even many instruments cannot measure. In addition, these technical advancements have increased the dynamic range to beyond the threshold of the human ear. Overall, while preserving the sonic hallmarks that have earned the Eclipse worldwide aclaim, the LE version takes it to an even greater level of musical resolution in terms of imaging, transparency, and sheer realism. The MOON Eclipse LE is fed by a customized, enhanced version of the PSX power supply.

MOON Limited Edition series features include polished chrome accents, a ½" thick brushed & anodized silver faceplate, a custom 2 meter Cardas power cord and a Limited Edition serial number plaque. Beginning in January 2004, we will be producing only 250 units of the MOON Eclipse LE.
