They're here ... The
MOON CD3.3 Disc Player and
MOON i3.3 Integrated Amplifier
will be shipping in less than a month. Big brothers to the MOON CD-1 and MOON i-1 respectively,
these new models come loaded with numerous features and options to meet the latest demands and requirements for
home entertainment systems. These replacement models for the recently discontinued MOON Equinox SE
Disc Player and i-3 SE Integrated Amplifier may have the look of their siblings, but they offer
substantially more in terms of both features and performance.

10/25/2006 - The MOON i-3 and MOON Equinox have been revamped into Special Edition (SE) versions. Both models benefit from electronic parts with higher tolerances in several key areas of the circuit, including an improved toroidal transformer in the power supply of the MOON i-3 SE Integrated. The result is improved sonic performance.

The March 2006 issue of British-based publication
What Hi*Fi? has a colossal review of the
MOON Andromeda CD Player.
Aside from the five-star rating, they exalted its "Exquisite build quality; awesome
sonic performance; explosive dynamics; unbelievably detailed sound." Furthermore,
they found nothing against this player, "not even the price because this is an
absolutely outstanding player." The MOON Andromeda easily outperformed their
similarly priced in-house reference.

08/22/2005 - The September 2005 issue of Stereophile magazine, contains an exceptional review of the MOON ROCK 1000 watt mono power amplifier. In summing up, reviewer Brian Damkroger states "Simaudio set out to build an amplifier as good as any out there, and they've done it". Editor John Atkinson's measurements are concluded as follows: "Simaudio's MOON ROCK offers both superb measured performance and enormous capabilities of dynamic range". The bottom line is that when we set out to create a statement amplifier, we left nothing to chance; A world-class audio publication has unequivocally labelled the MOON ROCK a world-class product. 08/04/2005 - Simaudio MOON products are now designated into three separate product lines; The MOON Evolution Series for products introduced from 2005 onwards; The MOON Classic Series for current products available before 2005 and the MOON A/V series for current multi-channel products. 02/28/2005 - The February 2005 issue of Haute Fidelite, from France, features the MOON Eclipse LE CD Player on their front cover. Inside, a full-blown review yields extraordinary results. Aside from being bestowed a highly coveted "Haute Fidelite Reference" designation, it was rated 5-stars (the highest rating) in all three evaluation categories; Build quality, Musical performance and Quality/price ratio. In the December 2004 issue of the same publication, the MOON i-5 LE Integrated Amplifier also received a glowing review.

08/24/2004 - The September 2004 issue of Stereophile magazine has a rave review of the MOON Equinox CD Player. Editor John Atkinson concluded "Simaudio's rich-sounding MOON Equinox CD Player is a high-end contender ... to those who do care about sound quality and have large CD collections, I confidentally recommend the MOON Equinox." Our "Manufacturer's Comment" is scheduled to appear in the October 2004 issue. 08/11/2004 - Canadian magazine UHF (Ultra High Fidelity) has an excellent review of the MOON W-5 Limited Edition Dual-mono Power Amplifier in issue #70. The editorial staff loved it so much that they purchased one for their own reference system. Furthermore, Albert Simon, one of UHF's reviewers purchased one for his own personal system. Their verdict was "A class machine for those who plan long, indulgent listening sessions ..." and gave it the maximum 5 star rating. 07/22/2004 - Issue #149 (August/September 2004) of The Absolute Sound contains a spectacular review of the MOON Equinox CD Player written by Associate Editor Neil Gader who exclaimed "The reason it’s so easy to recommend the Simaudio Equinox is because it represents a truly musical upgrade that can be heard and enjoyed immediately ..." As well, the front cover of this issue includes a photograph of the Equinox.

12/13/2002 - Canadian magazine UHF (Ultra High Fidelity) celebrates its 20th anniversary with issue no. 65, which just hit the newstands this week. Inside is a comprehensive review of the MOON Stellar DVD Player (with DCDiä line-doubler). Also in this issue is an in-depth article describing the magazine's recently assembled home theater reference system that uses a MOON Attraction and two Simaudio power amplifiers. We plan to make this review available on-line in the coming months. 11/24/2002 - We've made numerous changes to this website, starting with new images on most of our product pages; Each page will now have a large frontal view of the product; The smaller inside and rear views will have a "click to enlarge" option. You'll also notice that some of our models are now being shown with a silver colored faceplate, as opposed to the usual black version; This is simply to help "show off" the available finishes - All Simaudio MOON components are available in either color. As well, each product page will have a new link, located at the bottom, that opens a "printer friendly" window. The purpose of all this is to provide you with better graphical details about our products and make our site more user-friendly. In the fall of 1999, Simaudio Ltd. of Boucherville, Quebec and Magnum Dynalab Ltd. of Brampton,
Ontario formed a strategic alliance with the purpose of sharing various technologies to further
enhance each company's product lines. Simaudio's extensive experience in designing and
manufacturing power amplifiers, preamplifiers and integrated amplifiers in conjunction with
Magnum Dynalab's expertise in analog FM tuners provided the foundation to develop new and
innovative products for the "high-end" audio marketplace. The end result of this two year
collaboration was the Simaudio MOON AIR Analog FM Tuner (based on Magnum's MD102 Tuner), the
Magnum Dynalab MD208 Discrete Audio Receiver and the MD308 Integrated Amplifier (both using
a variation of the MOON i-5080 integrated amplifier). All three products have garnered an
excellent reputation based on quality and value. As well, market penetration has been well
beyond the expectations initially hoped for.

For your convenience, we're making these new versions available on-line in a printable Adobe PDF file format. You will find the links to these manuals on the individual product pages of this website. Currently nine (9) are available, and we hope to have the other four (4) - Eclipse CD Player, i-5080 Integrated Amplifier, Air Analog FM Tuner and Attraction 7.1 Processor - on-line in the coming weeks.

the MOON ROCK. Rated at 1000wpc into 8 ohms
and mounted on a 2 inch thick solid granite base, this is easily the most advanced amplifier we've
ever designed. The MOON Stellar DVD Player is now
shipping and the 7.1 version of the MOON Attraction Processor
will start shipping by the middle of this month.
10/17/2001 - British magazine What Hi-Fi? Sound and Vision has just published a very favorable review of the MOON P-3 preamplifier and W-3 power amplifier combination in their 2001 Awards issue. As well, France based publication Prestige Audio Video has just released their October 2001 issue with an exceptional review of the MOON A/V Attraction Processor and Titan HT-200 multi-channel amplifier. 10/01/2001 - We've made numerous revisions to our website with the intention of making it easier to navigate. As well, you'll notice the predominace of our corporate colors - Blue, Black and Silver. 09/26/2001 - Issue no. 62 of Canadian based magazine UHF (Ultra High Fidelity) just hit the newstands with an excellent review of the MOON A/V Attraction Processor. As an added bonus, they put it on the front cover. We hope to make a reprint of the review available on this website in the coming months. 09/19/2001 - Customers purchasing new Simaudio MOON products in either the USA or Canada can now register their warranty on-line using the new warranty form. 09/17/2001 - The MOON A/V Attraction Processor and Titan HT-200 multi-channel power amplifier are the subject of an exceptional in-depth review by Chris Lewis, audio editor for Home Theater Magazine in the publication's October 2001 issue; currently on newstands. 08/23/2001 - Detailed information for the MOON Stellar DVD Player is now available on this website. Anticipated dealer availability is early October 2001. We have also changed the appearance of navigation tool bars at the bottom of all pages on this website. 08/20/2001 - Effective September 1st, 2001: Second owners of Simaudio MOON products will receive a balance of warranty not exceeding two (2) years, effective the date of the manufacture. 08/13/2001 - Effective September 1st, 2001: Components making up the MOON A/V Series (Attraction Processor, Titan Multi-Channel Amplifier and soon-to-be-released Stellar DVD Player) will be available in the Silver finish. As is the case with MOON 2-channel products, this finish will be available as a special order option. 08/12/2001 - The MOON Stellar DVD Player is in the final stages of development. Among the numerous features are an optional line-doubler circuit using Faroudja's DCDi technology, a 24-bit/192kHz digital-to-analog converter, the Philips ASD1 transport mechanism and the ability to process various media formats including VCD (MPEG1), Dolby Digital and DTS. Simaudio plans to begin shipping the Stellar DVD Player to dealers in October 2001. Please check back for more details. 08/10/2001 - The Absolute Sound has just published a review of the MOON P-5 Preamplifier in issue #131 - August/September 2001. Also, Canadian print publication, The Inner Ear Report has just released their review of the MOON Eclipse CD Player (Volume 13 #4). Both components received very favorable editorial coverage. 07/23/2001 - Internet webzine planethifi has coverage of the Home Entertainment Show (NYC - May 2001) on their website, including specific mention of the Simaudio/Merlin. This section lists all available upgrades for each component and includes pricing in U.S. dollars. 06/20/2001 - The MOON W-3 Stereo Power Amplifier is given a full review in Issue no. 135 of the publication Bound For Sound. Previously, in issue #134, the W-3 was part of a multiple amplifier survey. 06/18/2001 - The older Products section of our website has been completely revamped and now includes information on every product ever manufactured by Simaudio throughout its 22 year history. These images include internal circuitry and rear panels. As well, we've posted new images of the internal circuitry of the W-10, W-5 and W-3 Power Amplifiers and i-5 Integrated Amplifier. Coming soon will be images of the new Titan HT-200 Multi-Channel amplifier. 04/23/2001 - Stereophile Magazine has just published a Follow-Up review of the MOON W-5 Power Amplifier in the May 2001 issue. As was the case with the original editorial from March 1999, Kalman Rubinson is the reviewer. Owners of older MOON W-5's should contact our service department for further details. 04/15/2001 - The MOON Eclipse CD Player was very favorably reviewed by Brian Damkroger in the April 2001 issue of Stereophile Magazine. As well, the player was awarded a "Class A" rating in the magazine's Recommended Components. We're planning have an on-line link in our Reviews section by early May 2001.
