MOON i3.3
Integrated Amplifier
The MOON i3.3 allows you to integrate your music system
in distinctively new ways
Simaudio Ltd. proudly introduces the MOON i3.3 Integrated Amplifier, one of our newest additions
to the MOON series of audio components. The i3.3 redefines the possibilites of what an integrated amplifier
can be. Loaded with numerous convenient features and unbeatable sonic performance, the MOON i3.3 provides
for unprecedented flexibility. Featuring
an options package unheralded in the world of high-performance audio, especially at its pricepoint, available options include (1) an internal
digital-to-analog converter (USB-2, S/PDIF & TosLink digital inputs), (2) an internal RIAA phono preamplifier (MM & MC) and (3) a balanced
line-level input. All 3 of these options are available in any combination, either at the time of purchase or as a future upgrade.
Significant Design Features:
- An oversized power supply using a custom toroidal transformer design
- Rated output of 100 watts/channel into 8 ohms and 200 watts/channel into 4 ohms
- Five line-level single-ended inputs including one front-mounted 1/8” mini-jack for personal media players
- Optional internal digital-to-analog converter circuit for use with a PC, digital music server or external transport, etc
- Optional internal phono preamp is available with adjustments for gain level as well as capacitance and resistance loading
- One optional line-level balanced XLR input
- Headphone output on ¼” TRS jack located on the front panel
- SimLink controller port allows for 2-way communications between other compatible MOON components
- RS-232 port for i) full unsolicited bidirectional feedback in custom installation setups and ii) firmware updates
- IR input for external control
- 12 Volt trigger output for remote operations
- Four (4) bipolar output devices per channel in the amplification section which offer superb linearity throughout the entire audio frequency spectrum
- Class A output to 5 watts for greater efficiency
- Circuit board with pure copper tracings and gold plating that yields low impedance characteristics
- Optimized selection of very high quality electronic components
- A symmetrical circuit design
- Rigid chassis construction to minimize the effects of external vibrations
- Designed to be powered up at all times for optimal performance
- Low operating temperature for a longer than normal life expectancy.
