Simaudio launches the MOON Orion DVD Transport/Player

Simaudio Ltd. proudly announces the introduction of the MOON Orion DVD Transport/Player, our newest addition to the MOON A/V series of Home Theater components. Based on the highly acclaimed MOON Stellar DVD Player and employing a fully modular design concept, the MOON Orion is being offered as a stand-alone transport with an optional Digital-to-Analog audio circuit and/or optional Videon Stingray line-doubler circuit using Faroudja's DCDiä (Diagonal Correlation Deinterlacing) technology. Both of these options will be available at either the time of purchase or as an "in-the-field" upgrade.

Significant Design Features:

• Optional Videon 'Stingray' line doubler circuit using Faroudja DCDiä Technology.
• Optional BurrBrown PCM1730E 24-bit/192-kHz DAC's with 8X oversampling
  digital filter for two-channel analog audio output.
• 10-bit oversampled video circuitry with active current-to-voltage converter.
• Philips ASD1 High-performance transport mechanism with dual-laser pickup.
• SRS Labs TruSurroundä 3D surround for 2 channel audio output.
• Full array of connectors including S/PDIF, RCA & TosLink for audio; Composite RCA, Component RCA, S-Video, Progressive BNC & RGB (DB15) and 21-pin SCART for video.
• Compatible with DVD, CD Audio, Video CD, CD-R and CD-RW media formats.
• Full-function RS-232 port control and status for custom integration or automation.
• Support of both NTSC and PAL video formats.
• Support for all audio formats (i.e. Linear PCM, MPEG, Dolby, DTS, etc.)
• "Rack mount ready" faceplate with stylish removeable aluminum cheeks.
