Discontinued SIMA Power Amplifiers Updated: May 31, 2011

The SIMA W-200 was the first power amplifier manufactured by SIMA back in 1980. It produced 100 watts per channel (into 8 Ω) and 350 watts when in bridged for mono mode.

The SIMA W-2002 and SIMA W-2003 Power Amplifiers produced 125 per channel and 225 watts per channel (into 8 Ω) respectively. Identical in appearance except for an additional 2 inches of depth for the W-2003, both models were bridgeable for mono operation and factory configurable for balanced operation. As well, no coupling capacitors were used throughout the audio circuitry and the power supply toroidal transformers were custom manufactured specifically for SIMA.

The SIMA W-2050, rated at 50 watts per channel (into 8 Ω), was introduced as lower powered alternative to both the W-2002 and W-2003 amplifiers, with the goal of maximum sonic transparency. Several years later the SIMA W-3050 was introduced; also rated at 50 watts per channel (into 8 Ω) but with more output current, increased gain and a quicker transient response than the W-2050.
